Celebrate My Inner Child
I get that it might sound cliche at this point to chat up the inner child often mentioned in popular psychology - but I will take the risk of sounding cliche.
Today I will celebrate my inner child
- I choose happiness
- I swim, which I loved and still love
- I listen to my body's cues of hunger
- I communicate with my family - they were there when I was a child
- I give myself small presents to have something to look forward to
- I make sure I eat vegetables! {the vegetables that I like to eat anyway}
- I allow myself moments of silliness
- I take short naps when fatigued
- I have a bedtime routine to aide better sleep
- I ask for help when appropriate
